The southern part of Marshall county TN is my home. The part where the Cooks had land was Lincoln, Marshall and I think Giles. Cornersville , Tn was in Giles county until about 1870. William B. Cook and his wife Frances Rainey were my ggggrandparents. William is buried on a hillside north of Springplace also called Archer. We don't know where Frances is buried. Find a copy of William Dollarhide's book that shows the boundry changes for the counties of the US at for each Federal census. The area south of Elk Ridge was the area that shifted the most.
