Thomas was dead by 1860. They had children. Mary Francis b. 1845, TN, Julia A.b. 1847, and John J. Chilton b. 1848, MO. Thomas's two first cousins Richard and John Chilton were there about the same time but left for Illinois before the Civil War. I have seen index's of probate records in St. Clair Co., MO on both Thomas and Nancy Chilton. Alfred Chilton son of Richard Chilton who remained in the County was one of Nancy's administrator's.
