Horton, born abt. April 1868 in Georgia and 1st wife (name unknown), born possibly in Georgia or Marshall County, Al. and died before Feb. 6, 1894 as well as 2nd wife Ida Adams-Horton, born abt.Oct.1876 and married John C. Horton on Feb. 6, 1894 in Marshall County, Al. Ida Adams-Horton may have been born in Georgia or Marshall County, Al. but both John C. and Ida Adams-Horton died in Marshall County, Al., possibly buried at Rock Springs cemetery. Children of John C. Horton and 1st wife were Ester Lather Horton, born Nov.1 1889 and Oscar Horton, born June, 1886. Children of John C. and Ida Adams-Horton (2nd wife) were Nurtr Horton, born abt. December 1894, AL., Mamie Horton, born abt. October 1896, AL., Edie Horton (son), born abt. November 1898, AL. Ester Lather Horton married Franklin Montgomery Bowen (Boen) on February 25, 1906 in Marshall Co., AL, son of WILLIAM M. (N.) Bowen and Narcissa Martin. Franklin Montgo! mery Bowen (Boen) was born Abt. March 1883 in AL. Franklin Montgomery changed the spelling of his surname from Bowen to Boen although several of Ester and Franklin's children kept the original spelling. Franklin Montgomery and Ester Lather Horton-Bowen (Boen) were my grandparents. If anyone has any info to share then I would greatly appreciate it. This line has been extremely difficult to trace.
