You must have been a little younger. I was Jeanie's age and as I recall, we went to school together at Hardison School until your father passed away and your family moved to Shelbyville(?). It's been a few years ago. :-) My name is Bill Massey, but I went by Billy during those years. I stayed in Lewisburg until 1960 when I went to David Lipscomb and then on to Peabody for my Master's. My teaching career in Franklin lasted until 1997 when I took an early retirement. Frankly, I had enjoyed as much of it as I could stand. Ha! Could you give me an update on your family? Also, if they can remember me, I would like to wish them well. I remember when your dad's hospital was situated there on First Avenue. I believe Dr. Brown started practicing there afterwards, but I could be mistaken...it's been so long ago. I also remember Max Harber and the awful burning incident. He was one of my cousin Bobby Massey's best friends growing up. My mother was Evelyn Musgrave and there were many children, so I am related to quite a few people in Marshall County as well as other places. My mother's uncle, Rafe Musgrave, founded the Musgrave Pencil Co. there in Shelbyville, and I believe it is still operated by some of his descendants, the Newlins. Are you connected to any of the old Marshall County families, genealogically? Since I've retired I have pursued that study and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I connect to the Dysart, Looney, Woods, Musgrave, Thomas, Hayes, Stallings, Pack, Pigg, Wilson, Lancaster, Short, Gilliam, Beard, Gant, and many more families. We are distantly related to Dr. Leonard's family through the Piggs. Hope you and your family are doing well. All the best, Bill Massey
