GEORGE EDWARD "NED" BARNES BORN IN 1819 MARRIED SUSAN COLLINS IN MARSHALL CO., TN AND HAD A DAUGHTER LEONA BARNES WHO MARRIED A HAISLIP IN MARSHALL CO., TN. MARY ANN BARNES (sister to George above) married John Feild Gordon and then Addison Garrett Back again with a correction. Family Search has the 1880 Census available for all trh STATES and in it for Marshall Co., TN is two George Barnes one of which is married to Susan Collins and evidently the other one is mine which is George Barnes age 61 born in 1819 with a wife Melissa Barnes age 47 born in 1833 with these children: Emily age 17 Ida age 14 Georgie 9 Leona 5 Margaret Milton daughter age 22 Lizzie Milton age 6 granddaughter Luther Milton age 4 grandson I had in my notes that Leona Barnes daughter of Ned Barnes had married a Haislip in Marshall Co., TN. So this has to be my Barnes relatives. We also have dates for all of them and Leona Barnes was born in 1875 and probably got married the haislip in the 1890's The above information is just snips from emails, so hope it helps some on where he is going with this.....
