If you are in Marshall co, I hope you are not flooded..... I recieved this email a few minutes ago from someone looking for help with the history of a farm that they are buying. Please read, and lets see if we can help her out! We're in the process of purchasing what looks to be an old farm on Chunn Rd, Chapel Hill, TN. for our retirement. The house was purposely burnt down a couple years due to poor repair, but there is still the barn, chicken coop, and a couple other out buildings. We plan on building a log home close to the original site. My question is - is there a way of tracing back to the original owners? Dates etc.? Thought it might even be nice if I found out the ladies name to have a little herb or flower garden and call it for example "Ellie's Garden" or something like that. Maybe years ago Chunn Rd wasn't part of Chapel Hill, I know some of the smaller communities came together to make others. Also, wondering if any of our Marshall Co. longtime residents may have a clue as to the history of this place. Or any historian's.......
