Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zhB.2ACI/1125.1.1 Message Board Post: I have been told that this suit was brought by the children of Elizabeth Hendrix Hogan Luna against Peter Luna after Elizabeth's death. I have her death recorded in 1848. Peter died in Feb. 1851. From this I assume the suit would be between 1848 abd 1851. From what I have been told, the suit was brought because the heirs wanted the money Peter recieved from the sale of slaves that were willed to Elizabeth by Edward Hogan, her first husband. I was told that the records were in both Marshall and Warren counties. I have scanned some court records in both counties and have been unable to locate the records. However, I have seen mention of parts of the record transcipts in which refer to the behavior of Peter Luna and how he was found in contemp of court because he struck his own lawyer. I would very much like to read all that is available. Please let me know if you are able to help.
