I regret that I did not get one. I have borrowed one from my sister - in -law on a couple of occasions. I am not a descendant of Peter Luna, but I have several links to his descendants. Peter Luna was a colorful character. I do not know if the people on the list are familiar with a web site that has a lot of material on Peter Luna. The name of the web site is EARLY LOONEYS IN AMERICA, by Leroy W. Tilton, Part 6, PETER LOONEY BRANCH. It may be accessed at: http://home.flash.net/~johnsonl/p6_1_5.htm. My interest in Peter Luna is via Sophia HOGAN. My theory is that Sophia HOGAN was the second of three wives of George Dillard PETTY. I believe that George Dillard PETTY was first married to Bethany BAGLEY and she was dead by 1829 with five small children to be cared for. I believe shortly after Bethany BAGLEY died that George Dillard PETTY married Sophia HOGAN. Sophia HOGAN is buried in the old Peter Luna Cemetery. From the Marsh Cemetery Book of Marshall County her stone reads: Sophia S., wife of G. D. Petty & dau of A. & J. Hogan Born Oct. 1808 Died July 25, 1831 Age 25 yrs, 8 mos, 26 days I believe that after Bethany died in 1829 he married Sophia and she died shortly thereafter in 1831. She possibly was pregnant and died in childbirth. In 1833 he is married again to third wife Ruth?? and has a child by that time.
