Hi!, As I explained to Frances, I don't believe I am related to the Gillums, but I am the GILLIAMS. My ggrandfather, James L.H. Gilliam's folks settled in Lincoln Co., but most of them settled in Marion County. They came from Virginia by way of Hawkins County up in East Tennessee. Consequently, most of my Gilliams were Union soldiers. I'm sorry, but I haven't seen any linkage yet between our Gilliams and your Gillums, although Perry Gilliam was an old friend of mine.
