"Hello again Fellow Family Researchers and possible Cousins!" Am seeking your assistance in my on going attempts to trace descendants of "Our CRAIG Family". Catherine LEGATE being a CRAIG family descendant, am trying to follow her family's descendant down through 1920 or so, for the benefit of future generations of family researchers. Belfast is approximately 5 miles south / southeast of Lewisburg on TN. 50 highway. Round Hill Cemetery is about 1 to 11/2 mile east of Belfast. From the history of Belfast it is reported that there are graves dated to 1811 [probably a birth year] in the Round Hill Cemetery. The names I have are for Lydia Elliott, sister to John Elliott, James, etc...Problem is she was probably born abt 1815ish, married William Arthur and died after 1870 but before 1880. Her daughters names are Annie (Hooten) Martha Susan (Phifer). I have a will and a contest will for John, her brother, he married a Martha Boyett (2nd) and there were children from his slaves who contested the will years later. Does any of this sound familiar and/or would you possibly have any idea what her real name could have been and they just called her Lydia?

Joyce, I don't know very much at all about a Rodgers/Rogers indirect line of mine. I have in an Angus family record that a Josie Scott married a Rogers/Rodgers. Josie or Josephine was the daughter of William Scott and Mary Kidwell of Giles Co., TN. I believe she was born about 1851 or 1852. The Angus records simple state she was Josie Rogers. I am sending this with the hope that maybe in your Rodgers/Rogers research, you may have run across these names. I do not know if they were ever in Marshall or Lincoln Co.'s.
