    3. Hi Belinda , Thanks for the Brothers Keeper directions. Anyone who has Brother's Keeper and wants to send the Group Sheets as text file attachments, or just pasted into an email. I will also add a note to that affect on the Group Sheet webpage and an option for that on the form. 3. Karen, Is my face ever red! After inquiring about the family group sheets, I went to the site and found mine already there!! Not sorry, tho, since seems to have stirred up some more of us to submit some! Thanks for your fine work. Dorothy Wakefield Chance BTW, I spent many happy hours in Lewisburg and Cornersville as a child and would love hearing from anyone who was around during the '40's and '50's! Ann Linton and Jane Turner were special friends. And Scrapper and Lucille Jones. And "Miss Sadie D." Jones, Scrapper's mother. At least their house has changed little since those days! I have not been able to locate where my ggrandparents are buried. 3. Hi Charlie, I've chatted on and off with pj since she first took the Weakley pages, she's doing some fun things there! I like how she is making such a strong focus on the surnames of the county, perhaps a direction we should consider as well. Later when Oklahoma and Texas got together and built a bridge across the river, he took the kids in a car and didn't have to pay tuition. Then as school buses became part of the school system, a bus was sent over to pick up the kids on that side of the river. Ern, as he was often called, owned a store on the river which had earl ier started as an Indian Trading Post bought and ran by his grandfather, Judge James George Thompson in Preston Bend, Grayson County, Texas. Thompson left the property to his daughter, Alice, who married Joe Meadows, the father of Ernest. Preston Bend cemetery is located in Grayson County, Texas. 2. David: These are my crowd too -- so hi Cousin! I have William A. Bryant who married Eliza Septima Anderson Pickens October 28, 1869 in Marshall County. There was an article on this line in the Marshall County Historical Quarterly v. XI No. IV pps. 118 -125. They are both buried in Bryant Cemetery (was just there last month). Would be delighted to share anything I have on this line -- I descend from David Byers Pickens who was the father of Eliza and of my Great Grandmother Jerusha Pickens. If you want to give me your email address I can send you a copy of the article and/or send a gedcom file as an attachment to email. Best regards, Cary

    2. Dear Karen- there is really no need to create a new form............most program will allow you to create a txt file. The instructions for Brothers Keeper are as follows: Go to Family Group Sheet Choose beginning name of the group you need Choose all preferences necessary Go to File......choose Create a text file............. Save it in My Documents or any other word file that you choose (I chose NOTEPAD) Then display the group sheet. To OPEN THE FILE......... Go to Open Document on your start button and choose the file you created and it will open as a text file. This will enable you to highlight all text then ( CTRL/C.......to copy) and (CTRL / V) to paste it in the email............... If you had a form for text on your web site to enter text file and submit this would paste there as well. Thank you......hope this helps Belinda

    3. Hi All, There is no way, that I know of, to paste a group sheet from FTM in a way that would allow me to code it for display on a webpage. Brother's Keeper will let you do it, theirs doesn't have all the vertical and horizontal lines that FTM has. I had considered making an online form where you could enter the data and click submit. I can easily make one if everyone thinks it would be easier than the method we have now. 1. Re: [TNMARSHA] Family Group Sheets?
    2. Karen, The Weakley County, Tenn. webpage has a system which works really well. Please check it out. You only list the names of your ancestors who actually lived in the County at one time or another. Even though many of us can trace one line or more back to the 1600's, it is much better to list just the ones in Marshall County. You list the name, years of birth and death, and relationship. You list only maiden names of female ancestors, so you don't get confused with middle, married, and maiden names. For example: THOMAS Rachel Elizabeth THOMAS 1917-1995 Mother Lewis D. THOMAS 1877-1946 Grandfather Meek B. THOMAS abt. 1830-aft 1880 Great Grandfather MAY Rachel Elizabeth Thomas 1917-1995 Mother Lewis D. Thomas 1877-1946 Grandfather Elizabeth S. MAY abt.1837-aft. 1920 Great Grandmother GROOMS Rachel Elizabeth Thomas 1919-1995 Mother Susan Tenny Insco 1884-1953 Grandmother Edith W. Lewelling 1857-1901 Great Grandmother Susan C. GROOMS 1833-aft 1890 Great Great Grandmother Stephen Herring GROOMS 1792-1833 Great Great Great Grandfather This is an example of my Weakley County line, although the THOMAS and MAY line were also from Marshall County. Hope this helps a little and is only one idea. All the best Charlie Campbell London
