3. Julia, I am researching Dr. BENJAMIN F.WOODWARD(b. abt 1832) that married NANCY JANE CURTIS (b. abt. 1843)on 11/20/1865 in Bedford County, Tennessee. The 1870 Bedford Co. census shows they had one son named William, age 3/12. I believe Benjamin may be the son of JOHN WOODWARD (b. 9/3/1801 in Va, d. 7/7/1881) and MARY ELIZABETH MAYES. 3. On a visit this summer to the library in Lewisburg, I found a copy of a book titled "The Beleagered Forty-First Tennessee" by Louise Booth. My gg-grandfather, Wilson Curtis, was a member of the 41st as were many other Confederate soldiers from the Marshall County area. Does anyone know where a copy of this book can be obtained? 1. [TNMARSHA] Sharing FTM files
2. Hi Jim, Since noone else has answered this, I'll give it a try. The Family Tree Maker program can generate a file called GEDCOM. It is like a "universal genealogy format" for lack of a better description. If they aren't too big they can be emailed. The county websites don't have the space to store all these files. Rootsweb now lets you put your GEDCOM files online http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ click and I think there are a few others that accept them, like ancestry.com. Hope this is helpful. If you need more info on creating the GED file, I'm sure someone on the list can give you directions.
