    1. [TNMARSHA] Re: TNMARSHA-D Digest V00 #68
    2. Hello! Can someone please check cemetery records in Marshall Co. for burial sites, dates, etc of: J. J. TITUS (one of his names may have been James?) and his wife, Deanne/Diane? They were in the 1850 census--and only the wife was listed in the 1860 census. However, according to legend, J. J. may have left his wife and perhaps married another! If anyone has ANY info at all on this couple, I would sure appreciate hearing from you. Their son, Francis James Marion Titus (1836-1904) is my gr-grandfather. Alma Titus Mormance Indianapolis

    2. I need to find out if Charlie H. Smotherman who was buried at Lewisburg in 1967 has a tombstone and if so, what it says. Is there any way to get that information other than go to the cemetery? Has any one made a collection or index of obituaries in that time period? Thanks for any help. Carolyn Odle Smotherman

    2. I am searching for information on Jane G.L. EDWARDS, who married Rev. Shadrack M. Mustain in Marshall County November 14, 1843. Rev. Mustain was a Baptist minister. I have no idea which church he led. I don't know who Jane's parents were. I suspect that she may have been Indian. Jane was born November 8, 1826 in North Carolina. Jane most likely came into Marshall County with her parents prior to 1843. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Karen

My first records I have for my husbands G-grandfather is in the 1860 census in Marshall County. His name is James W. Graham (J.W.) he was born around 1830. There were some Graham who migrated from north carolina from Mecklenberg. Their father signed the declaration of Mecklandberg. I suspect that one of them could be possible for being the parents since they were in the right place at the right time. Althought I have NO PROOF. Please e-mail me back as I would like to keep in touch with you. [email protected]

    3. It's the only copy I have and I can't let it out of my sight. ;-) You may be able to get a copy from the publisher: Southern Historical Press, Inc. P.O. Box 1267 375 West Broad St Greenville, SC 29602-1267 The full title is, "Cemetery Records of Marshall County, Tennessee," compiled by Helen C. & Timothy R. Marsh and Ralph D. Whitesell. The ISBN# is 0-89308-238-4 . . .or perhaps on Amazon.com or e-bay. The problem is that the index lists only surnames. Whether you are looking for Adam Smith in the Adams Cemetery or Zachariah Smith in Yowells, you must flip to every Smith entry in the index to find him! I just don't have the time anymore.Sorry. -Paul ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 14, 2000 10:30 AM Subject: Re: [TNMARSHA] Lookups > I have some experience indexing, would be willing to see what can be done to > make it more usable, but cannot get to Marshall County conveniently.
