Dear Gladys, I am thankful for the service of your family members. I'd like to ask about Landon Carter. Do you know how/why that name was selected by your family? Landon Carter was a signer of the Watauga Petition and same name seems to pop up throughout TN as a first and middle name in families. Such as in mine: Landon Carter Reagan. I have not been able to tie the Landon Carter Watauga Signer into my REAGAN family. Landon Carter REAGAN born 1871 was the son of Erasmus Reagan and Nancy Amner Mize.
