It was from the vital records dept in Nashville said If you are not directly related ( parent, child or spouse) and cannot demonstrate a legal interest in the record you are requesting, you are only entitled to a "Verification of Informant ion". Please complete the attached form and return with the fee of $12.00( Cause of death cannot be verified) Those are the exact words. I sent saying I was needed a copy, gave name, dates and they had also said I had to have a copy of a government issued ID, so I copied my drivers license , sent my money and got this letter back...any suggestions for me would be appreciated.
