Just wanted to let everyone know I finally got he death record for the Amanda Smith Martin I was looking for...it gave me a few more clues to look at on her life and hopefully will at least let me record her on my charts with accurate dates . there is still a lot of questions on her unanswered. I had ordered the certif from Phillip Gowen and would recommend his service to anyone..very quick!!! I have talked with someone in the library there in Marion to be able to order some copies, but they had promised to get back with me and never have. Its so hard to research out of state ..everything is done over the phone, in emails ... Linda Rich Toney--- you gave me an address for a Poe you suggested I contact. it comes back as undeliverable...would you have any further suggestions on this for me?? Debbie, I am so glad you finally got the death certificate. It was kind of like pulling teeth. Now we both know that is a lot easier to work through an individual instead of going to the official state offices.
