I am stuck!! I need to try to tie in some names for some ancestors... but i need to locate marriage certif or bonds...how would i go about this if i do not know who the person married? One thing to try (depending on the dates you're dealing with) is to get the woman's death certificate. This will usually show her maiden name, names of parents and their places of birth. Try getting the birth or death cert. for one of her children; this also usually shows the mother's maiden name. Collateral relatives can be helpful too. If there's no death cert. on file for the person you need, try getting one for a sibling instead.
