HI I recieved your email below from TNMARION and decided to email you to see if you might have my great grandfather on my Father's Mother's side. My paternal grandmother was Mollie Teague dau of Hannah Jane O'Neal and Doll/Dolphus/Deofolius Teague b:abt 1849 in TN., county unknown. Both parents of Doll Teague were born in NC. I have many descendants of Deofolius (name on Death Certificate of son James David Teague in 1947). I have Doll or Deofolius Teague (my G-GF) born a bt 1849/1848 in TN. He and his wife Hannah Jane O'Neal b:abt 1849 in GA were on the 1870 Census of Marion Co., TN. Their Children: Mollie Teague was born in 1883 TN/AL (not sure)?. James David Teague was born in Whitwell, Marion Co., TN in 1888 Ellen Teague est born in Marion Co., TN abt 1880 Robert/Bobby Teague -dob unknown but is reported to have died in childhood Doll Teague died in a mining accident in Marion Co., TN in May 1898. It is recorded in the book titled "Murder, Mayhem and Other Violence of Marion County, Tennessee 1890-1920" by Euline Harris. Their dau Mollie Teague married in 1897 to James Benjamin Levan, IV [of TN] b:1872in Marion Co., TN.; Ellen Teague married in 1899 to Charles Hubert Chadwick James David Teague married in 1905 to Elizabeth Griffith of Ga I am the grandson of Mollie Teague and James Benjamin Levan who was son of James Benjamin Levan, III [of TN] b:1844 Grundy Co., TN. This James was a vetran of the Civil War 5th TN unit. I don't know if you have my g-gf in your line or not. I have not been able to find any of his siblings or parents. His line although a commonly researched name in America and very popular in NC, TN, TX but still I have drawn a blank in researching his ancestry. Hannah O'Neal is a descendant of William O'Neal and her parents and family were on the 1860 Census of Marion Co., TN. Any help appreciated. Willing to share information. Thank you.
