Hi: Hate to trouble everyone over my William again, but I'm thinking that my William can't be Archibald's son, as my William Bassham appears in the 1830 and 1840 censuses of Marion County, TN, and Archibald's son William appears in the Giles County 1830 and 1840 censuses along with Archibald. The same person can't appear in two different counties, can he? The William in Marion County is over 60 in 1840. Archibald is between 70-80 in 1840. So, who then is the William Bassham in Marion County? He is father to Reuben (born abt 1805), James (b. abt 1829), William (b. abt 1831), Rhoda (b. abt 1833 ), Martha (b. abt 1837). Reuben married Rebecca unknown (born abt 1815); their children are Miller F.(1839), Martin L.(1842), William G.(1851), and at least one other male and female born before 1840. Dawnene Young
