    3. Linda sent this to me but I feel very strongly that we need to get this on the list so perhaps others can help her --- please contact her on how you can help out. thanks Betty ----- Original Message ----- From: Linda McClendon To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, December 02, 2005 10:24 AM Subject: Closing of Coppingers Cove Hello Betty, first of all you are doing a beautiful job on the website. Secondly, we have a big problem which could greatly impact the history of Marion County. A fellow by the name of Wright has bought some property in the Cove and is trying to close off the road. I was told that he layed in the road to prevent the county from doing their paving. The Higgins ancestors are retaining Mr. Swafford as their attorney to prevent this man from closing the road. Many, many people of Marion Co. have ancestors who are buried in the cove. This place represents my heritage as well as many others. We need the support of all descendents who are willing to help to stop this crazy man. Thank you, Linda Higgins-McClendon

    3. Betty & All, Dixon Cove which branches off of Coppinger is already fenced in & leased by a hunting club. That is where some of my Caldwells are buried. I don't even know who to contact to get in there to photograph their headstones. Any ideas?
