I am 95 born in Jasper. I have a list of his children but no info on the dates of marriage childre and deaths. Now I am trying to clarify a story I heard as a child. He was a strong Rebel and was imprisoned in Nashville but escaped and took family to Florida. I hope someone will know when the Union troops came through the Sequatchie Valley. They burned his home,stole his cattle and horses etc. I asked Euline Harris about this but it seems she has not found the answer. I left Jasper in 1919 but visited several times. I knew a lot of Turner relatives but I doubt any I knew are alive. My father was Richard (Dick) T. Simpson.
