Phoebe , yes Parts of the Battle Creek drainage is close to the Franklin county line. I believe it also is included the area where at time Franklin and Marion County was not really sure which county they lived in until the tax man came around, as they kept changing them so much. We have a Malinda McBee ( daughter of Robert McBee and Susan Barnes McBee) that married a Sargent and had three children , two of which are girls, that married Smiths. Malinda went on to marry a Lemons fellow after that. Part of the McBee's ( Malinda's brother's family Arnold McBee and Ivey Pelham) moved on to Mo. but I believe that was a little latter in time.
