I checked my newspaper book for the year 1902 and found the following: Miss Sallie Smith began teaching school at the Masonic Hall Monday morning. 7-31-1902. That was in the Whitwell column. In the Bolivar Ala column dated 19-30-1902 was t he following: Miss Sallie Smith spent Saturday and Sunday with her sister at South Pittsburg, Mrs. Dora Carlton. In the 1903 book it stated Mr. James Drake and Miss Sallie Smith were married Wednesday at Tracy City and left the same day for Illinois to spend their honeymoon. In this paper there are columns from Herrin Ill also and on 9=17-1903 it stated: A B Turner and James Drake moved from main st over to the west side of town. 11-22-1903 Mr. & Mrs. J M Drake attended church Sunday night.
