Thank you for the Obit on J.M. MASSENGALE. I beleive this to be James Madison MASSENGALE b. Dec 1840 and married 23 Sept 1859 Hamilton Co TN Malinda Jane DOUGHERTY. He served in the Confederacy. I beleive that he lived with his grandmother widow Sarah MASSENGALE in 1850 Marion Co and I am not sure who his parents were, there is speculation that he could be s/o Joseph F. MASSENGALE and wife Mary "Polly" (maiden name unknown). I have some information on the children of J.M. MASSENGALE . Dave m. (1) Lila WHITAKER (2) Alice PIPPIN, John Sephas m. Nannie WEBB, Mary Ann m. Mitchell Pope DURHAM, Vinie died young. If anyone has any information as to who his parents were, I would appreciate the help so much.
