I'm looking for help on finding Civil War records on my ancestor, Edmond VICKERY d. about 1880 probably in Wayne County, KY. I can't manage to find anything on him or his wife other than she was a widow in the 1880 census there. She was reportedly born in Tennessee and Russell and Wayne Counties in KY. My aunt says he fought in the Civil War but we don't know what side. I don't know anything about Civil War records. Are there any suggestions what for and where I should be looking? Thanks...
