I am trying to find further information on Robert Davis b. in NC abt. 1750 who could possibly be Fountain Davis' father. Because of time frames of move to Tn. and area of North Carolina that Fountain and Robert lived in North Carolina. At the time of Robert Davis death in 1835 he lived in Marion Co., Tn. married to Lucinda Malone Davis who he married in 1808. I believe that this was not his first marriage because of his age. Fountain Davis is found on the 1836 tax list in Marion County, Tn. The Fountain Davis is family is as follows Fountain Davis b. abt 1793 in North Carolina married Diana b. abt 1816 in Tn. Children Sarah b. abt 1834 Ateltius b. abt 1839 Lucinda b. abt. 1843 William b. abt. 1845 Barsheba b. abt 1848 John Jones Davis b. Feb. 27, 1851 in Tn. d. October 15,1886 in Ind. married Nancy Arlenia Odom b. December 21, 1848 Nancy Davis and her children moved back to Sequatchie Co., Tn. after John Davis death. If anyone has further information regarding Fountain or Robert Davis during the time that they lived in Marion Co., Tn. I will greatly appreciate it.
