A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical interest in Marion County, Tennessee." ---------- WHO IS THE TNMARION MAILING LIST ADMINISTRATOR? The list is administered by Noel C. Matthews, a genealogy hobbyist in Colorado. That's right, I am not located in Tennessee, but wish I was!! Email your post to: TNMARION-L@rootsweb.com Note: All posts go to the TNMARION-L@rootsweb.com address even if you are subscribed to the -D digest list. You must be a subscribber to the list to post. ---------- IF I SEND A MESSAGE TO THE LIST, WHO WILL SEE IT? Any mail that you post to the list will be forwarded to everyone who has joined all forms of the TNMARION list. The -D subscribers will get it in their next Digest, and the -L subscribers will see it almost immediately as a mail message from you. Please remember not to send anything to the list that you do not want everyone else to see! ---------- HOW LONG WILL MY POST STAY ON A LIST? Posts to the list are sent out almost immediately in mail mode (-L) and saved in the digest (-D) and sent out when the digest size or time limit has been met. Actually, a post does not 'stay' on the list. It is only sent out once in mail mode and once in digest. ---------- CAN I BROWSE THROUGH PAST POSTINGS? Posts to the TNMARION Mailing List are archived by RootsWeb. The archives can be SEARCHED through http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl - put TNMARION in for the name of the list. If you have items to posts like queries etc that you want to remain available so others can see them go to this Marion County board and post your note. The postings stay there for at least a couple of years so they are good for checking by others. Unlike our regular mail list where the postings do not remain in view, these do.
