Sometimes you will find some info in the Deeds (all were saved) and the court minutes of which there are very few. When checking for this area I have found that Hamilton Co, Dade Co Ga, Jackson Co Ala, Franklin Co Tn, Grundy Co and even Sequatchie Co should be checked. It just depends how close to these borders our ancestors lived.
