Donna you might try Rossville Ga.-- That was a major place to get married, enlist etc. Well just got your second message and it is good thing you found it as I would have told you wrong LOL Betty ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Donna OBrien" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 8:47 PM Subject: [TNMARION] WWI Soldiers | Hello all... | | I'm working on finding more information on my gr-grandfather's WWI service, but I can't seem to find anything. That's okay; thanks Betty. I started thinking that so many things happened in either GA or AL since they're right on those lines. I just didn't dig far enough the first time! macbetty <[email protected]> wrote:Donna you might try Rossville Ga.-- That was a major place to get married, enlist etc. Well just got your second message and it is good thing you found it as I would have told you wrong LOL Betty ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Donna OBrien" To: Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 8:47 PM Subject: [TNMARION] WWI Soldiers | Hello all... | | I'm working on finding more information on my gr-grandfather's WWI service, but I can't seem to find anything. It does make you wonder if our ancestors really didn't know where the state line was located for sure -- as so many major events in their life's happened in Al and Ga instead of Tn. I guess it was just as easy for them to get to those courthouses as it was to Jasper. Perhaps it was because they were working in those areas too??????? Just guessing here -- does any one else have any opinions as to why they would go to Ga or Al instead of the courthouse in Tn?
