Bill that was a real treat to get to read your letter-- thank you for sharing-- Oh Iley you better put some gravy on them too --LOL -- Actually potatoes were a staple all over the world-- When I was growing up we had potatoes three meals a day , 7 days a week -- we only had meat on Sunday-- when I was growing up -- all the cousins knew my Mom insisted we have meat for Sunday dinner and so they always showed up for dinner that day. --- I personally think fried potatoes with onions are a real treat now. I have two girls that love buttermilk and cornbread . I have got to where I love to have buttermilk and soda crackers-- Sweet milk you can have, but buttermilk is a staple in this house hold.
