I found Pleasant Plains Road in the NW corner of Madison Co. It runs north to Ashport Road, Ashport Road goes east to Old Humbolt Road. Evidently Pleasant Plains does not exist any longer. It is not shown on the map. Hi Jim: Thanks for doing all that digging. I had seen the cemetery you mentioned, but it seemed to far West for what I was looking for. Someone on the Franklin Co. list got back to me this morning and said Pleasant Plains was an active PO in Franklin Co. from 1826-1840. Postmaster was George W. Thompson. That's the one I was looking for. I'm working on some Rev. War Pension applications for a couple of Thompsons trying to find out if one of them is mine. Maybe I'll get lucky and find out that Lydia belongs to one of them too. Keep your fingers crossed!
