Hi Thanks to all who gave me information on Kelly's Ferry. My WILLIAMS ancestors lived there for a short while, sometime between 1877 and 1900. They emmigrated to America from South Wales landing, I think, in Pennsylvania. I know they lived for a while in Ohio (probably Acron) and then made their way down the Mississippi to Tennessee and Kelly's Ferry. About 1900 they came back to Wales for a visit and stayed. Apparently they had land in or around Kelly's Ferry and their youngest son was born there. I am really looking forward to visiting in August and will definitely make my way to Whitwell library.
