    3. Sandie, Thanks for your updated information on the Guild postoffice. I have added it to the Marion County Postoffice page. http://www.noelm.com/marion/marionpost.html Noel Sandie Huffstutler wrote: > I noticed that the Post Office in Guild is not on the > list of Marion County Post Offices. 3. After reading some of the other list owners posts (keeper of the list) talking about how much trouble they are having with rootsweb unsubscribing people that didn't want to be, I would like to let all of you know if this happens to you , please contact me and let me know and I will be more than happy to resubscribe you back. Also if you know your ISP (carrier such as AOL, mindspring, etc.) has been down and your mail has been bouncing, let me know and I would certainly be happy to resubscribe you back to the list, as soon as it is up and running. This has happened to me many times and yes, it certainly is frustrating to say the least. Also want to remind every one that rootsweb does not allow selling , promoting of selling or even discussion of selling any products of any type on their lists. They are the only one who can advertise on their lists . So lets all be real careful in this area. Also they highly frown on any discussion of politics, or religion on their lists as well. Now this doesn't mean you can't say Uncle Pete was a good member of the Methodist church, etc. It only means you can not interject your opinion of Uncle Pete's religious views. Same goes for politics--- you can say Uncle George was a confederate soldier but you can not inject that you think the war going on now is whatever opinion you might have, etc. . yes we are a rootsweb list. thanks so much Betty McBee keeper of the list for Marion County, Tn.

    3. I noticed that the Post Office in Guild is not on the list of Marion County Post Offices. According to the list at the Tennessee State Archives Guild's PO opened in 1906. The last time I sent anyone a letter there was about 6 months ago and it went through. The zip code is 37340 When we lived back there (1972-1975) the post office was inside a Chevron service station and the postmistress was Frances Hale. 2. A lot of Sequatchie Valley people, (Sequatchie Co, Marion Co, and some Bledsoe Co) had to go to Chatt. hospitals and consequently if they died their death certificates would be in Hamilton Co Tn. I have found some of mine that way as we did not have hospitals that could adequately take care of them. Euline

I am researching Patsy Rector [ aka martha raulston ]. My GreatGrandmother [ Patsy ] is daughter of Mark Rector & Elizabeth Walker. She is mother of Mack Rector, Walter Garfield Rector, Jim Buck [ James Rector ], & Nancy Elizabeth Raulston. I am told John Simmons Raulston from King Cove, Ala., was father of her children.
