2. Everyone is so welcome. I'm so glad to see it has helped so many. This week as you are taking those pictures of loved ones that have gone, how about taking some extra pictures of the graves next to your loved ones and post them on the county site where you took them. Who knows who it might help. I do this every time I go to a cemetery and post them on www.findagrave.com for all to share. Have a safe and happy long weekend. :) Helen L. 2. I do know that there are a lot of the Miller, Raulston and Bean families in Claiborne and Campbell Co, TN, where my great-grandfather Ransom Smith came from before he moved to Marion Co, TN. 3. Helen thanks to you it seems we might have more than one bingo even :-) LOL Never know when these wonderful ancestors of ours will show up or how they will choose to make themselves known. :-) Every one might want to keep in mind how many times the boundaries of the county lines have changed over the years. -- It never hurts to check the surrounding areas around the county either. Hope every one has a safe and sane Decoration Day Holiday or as it is called now days, Memorial Days. Wouldn't it be a nice idea to take an extra posy along with you to decorate a grave that all the relatives have moved out of the area, and can't get home, or that all the descendants have disappeared from the area. I am sure it would probably be appreciated. Neat idea maybe to report back to the list the name on the grave you decorated too???????? think???? Might just be some ones long lost relative they can't find?? Betty

    2. Thanks so much for writing. I don't know of a Caroline Allison but I don't know the names of the later Allisons of Dade Co., GA. Have you looked in Jackson Co., AL for the Allisons because they settled down there very early? If you find out more, let me know. Where in Marion Co., or Dade Co. did your William live? My husband has William J. Smith born 1847 GA who married Sarah Head and they lived in the Battle Creek area. Thanks again. Marilyn

Someone in the family thought her maiden name was Allison, but I've never been able to confirm that. Donna O'Brien

    2. Would anyone have information about John Smith who bought land that was located at Indian Fork and the Little Sequatchie River in 1828 in Marion Co., TN? Walter Coppinger and wife Rachel Tussey also settled in this area and Walter was the son of Higgins Coppinger (Rev. War Soldier-VA) and his wife Anna Smith who settled in Sullivan Co., TN by 1796. I wonder if John Smith is related to the Coppingers ? Thanks much. Marilyn B. Garner
