According to my great-grandmother (Geneva Transou), her dad's (Walter Transou) family came from North Carolina. Walter's grandfather had hooked up with a Native American woman and moved to Tennesse and had children. In doing some online research, I discovered a Peter (Petrus) Transou left North Carolina in 1835 and moved to Tennessee. I am wondering if this is my GGGG-grand father or another relative.
