Lisa, It is not much but in one of my Hart family Civil War letters reference is made to Billy Boon. Let me tell you what I know: ~The letter is undated. The best guess I have been able to come up with according to information contained in the letter is April - August of 1863. ~The letter is wrtten by James Peasant Hart from Shelbyville, Bedford Co, TN to his wife Mary. They lived in the area of Perry Switch Road and Harts Bridge Road. They attended Liberty Grove Baptist Church. The letter says "Billy Boon arrived here the 27 of March and informed me you all was well." I know it is not much but just wanted to let you know. Diane
