Hello Cousin Becky, Lillie Viola Croom is a member of my Croom family. She is the oldest child of Benjamin F. Croom born 20 August 1837 died 7 May, 1907 and Susan K. Davis born 5 Jan., 1845 died 8 April, 1913; married 13 December,1862. One of the grandchildren of this couple is still living here in Memphis. Page 55 of Chronicle of Tennessee Crooms shows Lillie Viola born 11 Nov.,1863 died 6 October, 1891 married to Stephen Lacy 22 May, 1889. The text does not list the offspring of the couple. I can take you back quite a way in the Croom line. I will start pulling some notes together. Susan K. Davis is an enigma to me at this time. I know my family sold Benjamin and Susan K. their farm.The farm was described as the old James G. Davis home place. He is yet another unknown . I feel she may be a descendant of an unknown sibling of my brick wall, John Egbert Davis but I have no proof. I will be in touch soon.
