Nancy, This small ?? journal belonged to James Pleasant Hart b 1827 NC d. 1879 in Madison Co. The dated entries all appear to be from 1865-69. There is NO connection biologically to any of these ladies to my knowledge. Socially ??? In some of his things I have found record keeping of Liberty Grove Church. Possibility?? I just doubt if they are all blood kin. You are right there is an Allison connection but it came years later. James' son Guy Pleasant Hart b. 1873 married Judy Mainord in 1896 and Judy's grandmother on her father's side of the family was an Allison, BUT they were neighbors even back in the 1860's. I would not call it a diary. It is like a pocket calculator ...... lots of long division, adding, and such, used for note taking ....... lots of pages where it will say for example .... sold bacon to Thomas Littlepage 50 pounds $8.00. Or like the Mullins reference that I previously posted. I just thought it so neat to see some of the surnames we see doing Madison County research with SISTERS at the top of the page underlined. I saved an image of the sisters page on a CD if you would like it sent to you. Diane
