Seeking information on a James Shoemaker who appears in the 1830 and 1840 FC Madison Co, TN (James Shumate in 1830). I believe this is the same James Shoemaker who married Sary Street 12-7-1801. in Knox Co, TN. He died in Madison Co, TN in 1849; his administrator was John Irwin, but no heirs were mentioned. I am trying to determine who the children of this James Shoemaker were, where he is buried, when Sary may have died, etc, etc. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
