I have a Nancy Sewell b. 1799, who married Joel Sullivan. Her father Jesse Sewell and his wife Nancy Ritter, traveled throughout West Tennessee. Jesse Sewell and Joel Sullivan were preachers and they came to the area from Guilford Co. NC. and they all finally settled in northern Hardeman County. The name John Sewell is found among the children of Jesse's father, Isaac Seawell. This John would have been born around 1780. Nancy Sewell Sullivan had a number of brothers. I wonder if your Nancy or John might have been in one of their families. Please let me know if you think they might be connected. Karen
