Jean; Have you checked the Cartmell Diaries contained in Jonathan Smith's "My Riverside Scrapbook," found online at the Madison Co Gen Web site? There is info re: the family of Wm. E. Butler as well as marriages etc, of subsequent generations. I descend from Thomas Henderson's sister, Jane who married a Kendrick. I have much on the Hendersons prior to arrival in TN, not much on them afterwards. I the Cartmell Diaries there is mention of Billie Butler marrying a daughter of Capt Thos. Henderson-- who this was I don't know, possibly Corinna? Cartmell mentions Billie's father, William O. Butler, and Billie's grandfather, Wm. E. Butler. Thomas Henderson ( 1819-1877) married Mary Orman Butler. I don't know if this was his 1st or 2nd wife, although Cartmell says she was the 2nd. She was a sister to Billie Butler and a granddaughter of the Wm E. Butler you're researching. Hope this helps. Would love some Henderson info if you have any. Nancy
