You might try the Memphis Commercial Appeal. They carried a lot of West TN news, and have papers that old. The Jackson papers that old are few and far between/ Ricky Long > [Original Message] > From: Phil Smith <phil_48@comcast.net> > To: <TNMADISO-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: 5/12/2004 1:52:24 PM > Subject: [TNMADISO] Margaret Felts > > I Have a newspaper article 24 Dec 1909 Crockett Co. about John Felts being taken to an Old Soldiers Home in Nashville, and upon arrival he was sent to the hospital for burns he had received escaping a burning house where he lived. In 1910 census Nashville he is listed at Old Soldiers home as widowed. My question....is there a news paper obit of Nov-Dec 1909 with info on the fire and possible death of Margaret Felts? > phil > > > ==== TNMADISO Mailing List ==== > NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political > announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, > etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal. > Consideration for exceptions, contact Kathleen Burnett kathleenburnett@earthlink.net > > ============================== > Gain access to over two billion names including the new Immigration > Collection with an Ancestry.com free trial.
