Tuesday, May 4th was the one year anniversary of the F-4 tornado that devastated Jackson, Madison County with 11 people losing their lives and millions of dollars in property damage. Yesterday the city council approved a contract to get the repairs underway at Historic Riverside Cemetery. The cemetery took a direct hit from the tornado, destroying a mausoleum and turning over hundreds of markers. Classic Monuments is being subcontracted for this work and they are a local company, so I believe they will do a good job in restoring the markers.
