Greetings to ALL, I have a couple of questions for anyone. Has anyone been to Nashville researching for Madison County records? Is it worth it? I will be going thru there next week and was wondering what they have that JMCL does not have or the library here in Memphis. In particular and I ahve looked over their web site for an answer but was wondering ....... can you view and copy Civil War pension applications and widows applications on site. According to what they have listed on the web as far as Madison County holdings was slim or I was looking in the wrong place. Another thing ........ has anyone purchased CD censuses from Heritage Quest? Are they easy to use and view? Are the images of good quality? I know I have tried to use Ancestry.com census records and did not have much luck, or I was viewing poor images, or both. Have a great one, Diane
Before Ancestory put the census images online, I was buying HQ census records by the google. I've got many many many of them.... actually I still buy them even though ancestory does have them online. There is no download time. The quality is as superb as you can obtain. I agree with Sandra that the FTM records are not as high of quality as HQ's. I will always take HQ's 'digital microfilm' over any other.
