Davis is one of my research subjects at this time. I have no proof but I think he and his family may be related to my Davis line who migrated from Virginia to Tennessee in 1837 possibly from Hampshire County which is now part of W.V. I have the Littlepage family back to 1600. If you need this I will be glad to send. Here is my Alfred G.Davis info 1. Other tid bits both Gustavus and Alfred Alf"o"d names their first sons William. A Hugh Davis from Virginia arrived in Madison County, Tn at or about the same time as Redmond. Hugh's will is in Madison County will book3-210 died in 1840. I do not have a copy of this. This line is also under research by Catherine Creede [email protected] and Diane at [email protected] They are proven descendants of this line. Another tid bit my line of Davis family bible contained several obituaries for the descendants of Gustavus Davis. Unfortunately there was no info given re possible kinship. I suggest all of us pool our resources and keep each other up to date. Jane, if you happen to run across any info re John Egbert Davis born about 1808-1810 please let me know. He is the earliest I know for my line and I have worked on him since 1979 with no results. I hope this is of some help. Let me know if you need the Littlepage info.
