Lydia Ramsey McBryde supposedly died in Denmark, Madison County in 1861 (she was b. in Chatham Co. NC). I am trying to find evidence that she actually was there, and which of her children may have come with her, especially her son James who was b. abt 1805. The children I know of are: Janette (b. abt 1799) m. William Lightfoot Hayes (they died in NC), Ann (b. abt 1801) m. Rev Kenneth McIver and Green Womack (m. bef the move, may have stayed in NC) Mary Nancy (b. abt 1803)m. William Benjamin Williams and Dr. Charles Chambers (married before the move, may have stayed in NC) James (b. abt 1805) poss married a Mashburn or Mashburger, but may have remained unmarried Eliza (b. abt 1809) m. a Degarnette before the move, may have stayed in NC Frances m a Degarnette before the move, may have stayed in NC Archibald (b. abt 1812)m. Julia Holmes Lydia (b. abt 1813) m. Donald Street, m. bef the move, may have stayed in NC John Ramsey (b. abt 1815) Sarah Tyson McBryde (b. abt 1817) m. a James Alston or Asten William Martin McBryde (b. abt 1819) m.
