One church was Cane Creek Missionary Baptist. Bemis Methodist Church, Herron Grove Baptist, probably Bemis Church of Christ was there in 1936 too, and probably the Bemis Pentecostal Church. Of course, only the Bemis Methodist Church was the only one located within the Company town limits. Herron Grove Baptist (later to become First Baptist of Bemis), the Bemis Church of Christ Church, and the Bemis Pentecostal Church were located across the railroad tracks on private property.
