I am very much interested in the Caruthers/Carruthers/Carothers families of Madison Co. My special concern is finding the family of Susan L. Carruthers who married John C. Greer and lived in the Jackson area. Researching on my own, I do not believe Susan L. is a daughter of James Caruthers or related to Stoddard Caruthers, although James had a daughter Susan Medora b. Sept. 1838, dd. 13 June 1888. Does anyone have information about this Susan L. Carruthers Greer? Susan was born in 1822 and her place of birth is shown on census records as Indiana. Do you have any information about a John Carruthers who I believe died in Madison Co ca 1840. Susan may have had brothers James W. and John Franklin Carruthers. Any information would be very much appreciated. Barb
