    1. [TNMADISO] Dear Vicki,Re: Nail
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/JgB.2ACE/739.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Do not worry about taking a long time to get back to me, your mother needs you right now alot more than I do. I do not believe that Elizabeth is the mother to my Mary Nail as she was married in Madison County, Tennessee in 1831 to a Jacob Fulbright. If Samuel and Elizabeth were married in 1828, then he had to have been married at least once before. I have been working on this Nail line off and on for about 3 years and I don't know much more now than I did starting out. Seems as if those Madison County families didn't want us to know much about them. Mary and Jacob's daughter Margaret Eliza married in 1853 to James Mason Davis, they were my great-great grandparents. I haven't been ablr to find much more on the Davis' either. But, I will keep you posted if I happen to run across anything interesting. Missy Davis Morgan

Surnames: Gregory/Scarborough Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JgB.2ACE/278.1 Message Board Post: I am searching for information on Lewis Gregory as well. My great grandmother was Mayme/Maime Payne, daughter of Lewis Gregory and Susan Scarborough. You identified three of his four wives in your post. I think Susan Scarborough must be the 4th name, although I don't know the order of the marriages or even anything about Susan other than her name.

    2. I am doing some work towards my one day to made book with the Hart Civil War letters I have. In doing some look ups and I might be repeating something previosly posted but I noticed this and could remember these surnames being mentioned previously on the list. It is not one of my Hart's. Fran, this would be the, I guess, Hart you were asking me about. A Civil War pension application was filed for James Neely Hart Widow - Emma Buntin Hart Pension # 3475 County - Madison Diane

John Nail was a brother to George and James Nail who you will find living with my gr gr gr grandfather in Bownsville Haywood Co. Tn. in the 1850 census. My gr gr gr grandfather was James W. Barclay and the Nail boys's mother Elizabeth was James sister. Many of the Barclay are buried on the hospital grounds in Brownsville in the Cornwall/Barclay Cemetary (records on-line) There is also a Samuel Nail buried there that was born in 1837 so I think he was also a son. I have some of the female names somewhere but wanted to get this out to you right away. Will look it up and sebd you the rest. So glad to hear someone else is looking for a "Nail" like looking for a needle in a haystack but I quess they all are. Samuel and Elizabeth were married in Knox Co. Tn. 1828 and moved to Wilson Co. and then to Madison Co. Well this is something for you to work on until I can find the rest. I hope I am not too slow as my father just passed! away and am trying to help my mother through a lot. Just keep nagging me.
