In the Carter Family book by Clella Mae Carter there is 1 marriage to a Bailey, but it took place in Aug 1959. That's it. Teri
I have information on Harriet Jane Bledsoe. She was born about 1814 to Isaac Moore Bleldsoe and Lucy Jones Bledsoe. Isaac's brother Edward and Lucy's sister Mary Jane married and are my direct ancestors. Harriet Jane would have been born in North Carolina because the two families didn't move to Tennessee until the 1820s. I have further information on the family if you are interested. Connie
I am researching the Bailey line, would love to share information. [email protected]

The Roach name is connected to Perry County through the marriage of Mary Rebecca Roach (b. 3-24-1846 in Rock Hill, S. C.)to William Henry Edwards (b. 5-15-1842 at Zion in Maury County, TN). Both were buried in Maury County, TN. The Edwards family near Flatwoods has traced that line to Mary. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, January 26, 2002 11:22 AM Subject: Re: [TNMADISO] Re: ROACH--W.H., Sherman, Joseph, Pearl > Kathy, > I do not have a Joseph Roach, b. Hi Sheri, I am afraid I am the one who furnished you this information in the past. In now have found proof Susan K. Davis is not the daughter of John Egbert and Nancy Davis, but I believe she is the daughter of possibly one of John Egbert's siblings as yet not identified. John Egbert and Nancy Davis did have a daughter Susan (Nancy Susan) but not the Susan K. I initially identified. Kathy, I do not have a Joseph Roach, b. Ky but do you think that this Roach Family might tie to the Perry Co., TN clan. Descendants of Samuel Roach Generation No. 1 1. http://www.tngenweb.org/madison/queries/archive.htm Someone just asked about the old queries and drew my attention to the fact that the old queries were not available. I had loaded them to the new web site last summer but never wrote a link to them. They may be found at the address above. Sorry.
Thanks Wanda and Diane for the info re: Whitenton and Allison. I knew there was a connection, just not sure what it was. Turns out there was more than one. Nancy

Nancy and Diane: My guess would be that they are "sisters" from church as well. The Allison family were members at Liberty Grove and are buried at the cemetery. My great uncle Edgar Whitenton married Ora Allison and they eventually moved and settled in Mayfield, KY.
